It seems the older I get the less I understand about people, the world, and sometimes myself. Human beings have a limitless capacity to do harm for no reason or for superficial reason, as history has illustrated. We also have the capacity for limitless love which we can only realize when we have ourselves found it. The delicate balance is to find love without the pain that so frequently follows. The fact that we keep trying even after repeated failures makes me believe that we need love as we need food, water and air to breathe. Without it, we are but corpses, perhaps animated, but no less lifeless.
